Ash is a mutant who possesses ash mimicry and pyrogenesis. He joined the Brotherhood of Mutants' crusade following the creation of the Mutant Cure.

Ash was a member of Magneto's third incarnation of the Brotherhood of Mutants. He participated in the Battle of Alcatraz, where he incinerated a soldier with his powers.
