Bast is a member of the Ennead and the psychopomp panther goddess worshipped in Wakanda and Ancient Egypt.

Black Panther[]
When the Five Tribes of Wakanda were feuding and battling, Bast appeared in Bashenga's vision, in the vision, Bast led him to the Heart-Shaped Herb. Bashenga took it and drank the herb, giving him abilities like a panther. The newly found Black Panther tried to form peace and succeeded.
