The Battle of the New Avengers Facility was the final battle between the Avengers, their allies and 2014 and his army in 2023.
Events
- A 2014 Thanos and his army attack following the reversal of the Decimation, intending to use the Infinity Stones to wipe out all life in the universe and remake it.
- Steve Rogers is able to wield Mjölnir against Thanos.
- The revived Avengers and their allies including the Guardians of the Galaxy, Ravagers, armies of Wakanda, Masters of the Mystic Arts and Carol Danvers join the battle against Thanos' forces. They are also joined by the 2014 Gamora who was convinced by 2023 Nebula to turn against Thanos.
- The Avengers' forces prove unable to return the Infinity Stones to their proper places in time when Thanos destroys the time tunnel.
- Despite the best efforts of the forces of good, Thanos gets the Nano Gauntlet and prepares to end all life in the universe.
- After receiving a signal from Stephen Strange that this is the one future he saw where they achieve victory, Tony Stark steals the Infinity Stones back and uses their power to disintegrate Thanos and his army at the cost of his own life.
Aftermath
- The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Masters of the Mystic Arts and their friends and allies attend Tony Stark's funeral.
