"This is your chance…to earn that look in your daughter’s eyes. To become the hero that she already thinks you are."

Cassandra "Cassie" Lang is the daughter of Scott Lang.

Biography

Ant-Man

Cassie was born to Maggie and Scott Lang. Her father was a petty thief who vowed to quit his life of crime when his daughter was born; however, he was arrested after breaking into the house of the head of Vistacorp and sending back money the company had stolen from it's customers. Cassie's parents divorced while Scott was still in prison and Maggie began dating Jim Paxton, who raised Cassie like his own daughter.

A few years later, Jim hosted Cassie's birthday party. Scott arrived, having been released from prison. The father and daughter hugged and Scott presented her with a gift of an ugly rabbit toy which she instantly loved. Despite Scott wishing to keep his brief visit a secret, an overexcited Cassie went to inform her mother of Scott's arrival; Maggie promptly spat out her drink in surprise. Maggie and Jim spoke to Scott and, after talking in private, Scott left the party, waving goodbye to his disappointed daughter.

Avengers: Endgame

Cassie survived the Decimation and the five years that follow. After emerging from the Quantum Realm, Scott Lang searched the memorial for the Vanished for Cassie's name and instead found his own. When Scott returned home, he was greeted by an older Cassandra to his relief and he commented on how big she had gotten.

After Thanos' defeat, Scott, Hope van Dyne and Cassie watched the fireworks celebrating the Avengers' victory.

Character traits

In Ant-Man, as a child, Cassie is kind and caring, she also takes after her father, Scott Lang (who she is still close to, despite the latter being incarcerated for years) as she is highly intelligent and observant; as Cassie knew that Scott is good-hearted individual, even before he knew it himself, something that Jim Paxton (initially) failed to realise.

In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Cassie has a sense of humour, as she finds it very amusing that her father, Scott's trophy has "world's greatest grandma" written on it, instead of "world's greatest dad", she also supported her father for going against Sokovia Accords; proving that even at a young age, Cassie has sense of justice, honour and good morals.

In Avengers: Endgame, as a teenager, Cassie is much more serious and mature, she was devastated, as she believed that her father, Scott was killed in the Decimation, five years, follow the Decimation, when Scott is revealed to be alive, she is both shocked and relieved that father is alive and the pair shared a happy reunion.
