Centipede is the name given to a device made from Chitauri metal into which a serum made by combining gamma radiation, the Super Soldier Serum and Extremis was injected. The Centipede device was then secured onto users, whose blood was filtered through it, giving the users super human strength, with the possible side effect of combustion, until the Extremis serum was stabilized. The devices were created and used by the Centipede Group.
