Charles Murphy was a student at Midtown School of Science and Technology.
Biography[]
Spider-Man: Homecoming[]
Charles Murphy was part of the decathlon team at Midtown School of Science and Technology. Whilst training for the decathlon, paired with Ned Leeds, Charles responded to the question "what is the heaviest naturally occurring element?" with "Hydrogen is the lightest!" realizing he didn't actually answer the question.
Charles went with the decathlon team to Washington, D.C. and sneaked out of his room to go late night swimming with the rest of the team the night before the decathlon. The following day, Midtown School's team won the decathlon thanks to Michelle Jones. Roger Harrington took the team to the Washington Monument as a reward for winning. Whilst traveling in the elevator, the Chitauri Energy Core that Ned had in his backpack emitted a wave on energy which severely damaged the carriage. Spider-Man intervened and rescued Charles and the other kids.
Back at school, Charles was interviewed for Midtown School of Science and Technology's news broadcast where he spoke about what happened in D.C. calling it "tight, like a Bon Jovi concert".
After the homecoming dance, Mr. Harrington gathered the decathlon team, where he congratulated them again for winning and appointed Michelle Jones the new head of the team after Liz Toomes' departure.
