- The Chitauri are the Ultimate Universe version of the Skrulls.
- Although based on the alien race created by Mark Millar in the Ultimates, the aliens bear little resemblance to their Ultimate Marvel counterparts. The Chitauri in the comics are never seen in their true form and devour people to assimilate their form, while they are able to transform at will in the film and have biomechanical enhancements.
- Herr Kleiser is the only known chitauri that possesses shapeshifting powers; as no other chitauri in the Ultimate Avengers film series has be seen to possess these said powers.
