The Danger Room is a training facility built for the X-Men in the X-Mansion.

X-Men: First Class[]
Originally, an old room built to withstand a nuclear fallout beneath the mansion, Charles trained Alex Summers here to help him gain better control of his powers without risk of causing harm to anyone else.

Colonel Stryker walked towards a sign that read "DANGER ROOM" but turned right towards Cerebro where his men were working on opening it.
X-Men: The Last Stand[]
Wolverine and Storm took a class in the room shortly after the apparent death of Jean Grey in order to train them in the use of their powers and in team play. The Danger Room is programmed so that it creates holograms of dangerous situations to test the abilities of the mutants. For the young X-Men (Colossus, Rogue, Iceman and Kitty Pryde) the Danger Room creates a Sentinel in the environment of a burning city. When Wolverine destroys the Sentinel, the simulation ends.
