David Samuel Goyer is the producer of Ghost Rider, writer of Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Blade, Blade II, writer and director of Blade: Trinity and co-producer and co-writer of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Goyer also produced Blade: The Series and directed 12 episodes of the show. Goyer originally optioned a script for a Venom movie, but was rejected and brought on for the Blade Trilogy instead. He'd also optioned a script for a Magneto prequel movie that would follow X-Men Origins: Wolverine in an series of X-Men Origins spin-off films, until the idea for a stand-alone spin-off was abandoned and segments of Goyer's script were included in X-Men: First Class instead.
- On a possible Blade reboot: "I do. Now that Marvel/Disney have recaptured the rights, I’m sure it will be [remade]. They made too much money on that character to not reboot him at some point... I mean, look, between merchandise and what not, that little character generated almost a billion dollars."
- On his Magneto script being used in X-Men: First Class: "It did. It did. It was sort of that but expanded. I was a little bummed. They definitely took some elements from our script..."
- Goyer also worked on a number of DC Comics properties including The Dark Knight trilogy.
