Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, also known as Magneto, is a level-5 mutant who can generate and manipulate magnetic fields. He helped to train the New Mutants.

- Mutant Physiology: Magneto is an extremely powerful mutant who can manipulate metal and magnetic fields.
- Magnetogenesis: Magneto can generate, create and project magnetic fields from both of his hands or his entire body.
- Magnetokinesis: Magneto can manipulate magnetic fields, this allows him to perform several different types of powerful techniques.
- Ferrokinesis: Magneto can telekinetic control over all forms of metal, even non ferrous ones, seemingly by using his powers to make any metal magnetic.
- Flight: Magneto is able to fly by projecting magnetic fields around himself.
