Callisto was a class 3 mutant who possessed superhuman speed, reflexes, senses and power detection. She was the leader of the Omegas and joined the Brotherhood of Mutants after the creation of the Mutant Cure.

Biography[]

X-Men: The Last Stand[]

Callisto took notice of Magneto's speech and decided to join him. As a sign of her loyalty, she tracked the location of Mystique for him, as she was being held prisoner by the Government.

Callisto soons becomes one of the generals of the new Brotherhood of Mutants, and with Juggernaut and Arclight, she accompanies Magneto to recruit the Phoenix. Once at the Greys' place, the Brotherhood of Mutants engages a battle against the X-Men, come to bring back Jean to the X-Mansion.

Callisto and Arclight fight Storm, and manage to beat her, but the battle is interrupted by the rage of Phoenix. At the end of the fight, Phoenix joins the team and Callisto comes back to the Brotherhood of Mutants' base in the forest with Magneto.

During the battle in Alcatraz Island, Callisto attacks Storm, wanting to settle down things with her once-and-for all. She proves to be more than a match for her, but eventually Storm throws Callisto into an iron fence and then electrocutes her to death.

Character traits[]

Callisto was a haughty mutant, who displayed her pride to belong to the mutant race with tattoos all over her body and face. She was a charismatic leader with strong will and character, and she accepted to follow someone else's orders only if she found an even more charismatic and strong individual, like Erik Lehnsherr, who managed to gain her trust with his ideologies and charm.

  • Mutant Physiology: Callisto was a class 3 mutant who possessed superhuman speed, reflexes, senses and power detection.
    • Superhuman Speed: Callisto was much faster than normal humans, she was able to move at blur-like speeds, Callisto was also capable of moving too fast for the human eye to see.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: Callisto's reflexes were much faster than normal humans.
    • Superhuman Senses: Callisto's senses were far more greatly developed than normal humans. She was able to sense the presence of X-Jet from the moment that it arrived on Alcatraz Island, despite the fact that it was in stealth mode at the time, likely because she could detect the mutants inside.
      • Power Detection: Callisto was able to sense the presence of other mutants and their location. She was also able to sense how powerful other mutants were and what their powers were.

Abilities[]

  • Expert Hand-To-Hand Combatant/Martial Artist: Callisto was a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist. She was able to best Storm in their first confrontation. She was ultimately bested by Storm in their second confrontation, due to the fact that Callisto had let her guard down. Callisto's combat skills combined with her superhuman speed, made her a formidable opponent alone in single combat.

Trivia[]

  • The version of Callisto portrayed in film is much younger than her comic books counterpart. She has the locating power belonging to her teammate Caliban and lacks of her trademark, the patch on the right eye.
  • In the X-Men: The Last Stand novelization, Callisto is revealed to be born in the Dominican Republic. It is also said that, prior to join Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, she was the leader of the Marauders.
  • In the comics, Callisto was the leader of the Morlocks and in the film, she is the leader of the Omegas.
