"Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be, Thor. The measure of a person, of a... a hero, is how well they succeed at being who they are."
―Frigga[src]

Frigga was the queen of Asgard, the mother of Thor Odinson, and the adoptive mother of Loki Laufeyson. She shared the history of her counterpart up into moments before she was going to die where she sensed the presence of a future version of her son and comforted him.

Biography[]

Avengers: Endgame[]

While traveling back in time to 2013 to get the Aether from Jane Foster, Thor spotted Frigga nearby and became distressed as he knew that it was the day that she would die. As she walked with a few other women, Frigga sensed Thor's presence and surprised him. Frigga quickly realized that the Thor before her was a future version of her son, stating that as she was raised by witches, she could see with more than just her eyes. Taking Thor to her bedchambers, Frigga listened to him explain what had happened in his future with sympathy and offered Thor advice that helped to revitalize his spirit. Thor tried to warn his mother of her death before he left, but she refused to hear it, stating that Thor came back to save his future, not hers. Rocket interrupted, having retrieved the Aether, and Thor summoned Mjölnir, to Frigga's great amusement.
