Frederick "Fred" Dukes, also known as the Blob, is a mutant, who possesses superhuman strength, durability, endurance, speed and agility.
Fred is a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

When Charles Xavier read Apocalypse's mind, she saw that Fred and the rest of the Brotherhood of Mutants had joined S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Freedom Force division.

- Mutant Physiology: Blob is a very powerful mutant, who possesses superhuman strength, durability, endurance, speed and agility.
- Superhuman Strength: Blob is much stronger than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Superhuman Durability: Blob is far more durable than normal humans and most other mutants. He can withstand being hit by cars or vans that are moving at speeds up to 200 mph, that would have severely injured or kill a normal human. Blob's durability is also, to the point that it makes him almost impossible to move, as well as the fact that his skin cannot be penetrated.
- Superhuman Endurance: Blob's endurance is far more greatly developed than normal humans and most other mutants.
- Superhuman Speed: Blob is much faster than normal humans and most other mutants. He can run at speeds greater than the finest olympic athlete.
- Superhuman Agility: Blob is far more agile than normal humans and most other mutants. Blob's agility is superior to that of even the finest olympic athlete.
