Hulk 2 was a planned sequel to Hulk which has since been canceled and the Hulk film series was rebooted in 2008 with the release of The Incredible Hulk as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  • James Schamus had begun work on the script before the release of Hulk and early drafts featured the Gray Hulk. Schamus was also considering The Leader and The Abomination.[2]
  • Marvel wanted the Abomination to be included because he was the most famous of Hulk's enemies and he could pose a physical threat to the Hulk that General Ross could not.
  • Marvel took over production in 2006 when Universal did not meet its deadline for principal production.[3]
  • All production was cancelled in favour of a reboot.
