In a flashback, Sylvie enchanted Hunter C-20 for information, talking with her in an illusion of a bar where they were sharing a drink and changing things up to confuse C-20. However, C-20 suddenly realized that she knew the bar, but she didn't know Sylvie who was supposedly her best friend. Finally, after being convinced that she was just tired, C-20 told Sylvie where to find the elevators leading to the Time Keepers.

Later, while explaining how enchantment worked, Sylvie told Loki that with someone that had a strong mind like Hunter C-20, she had to create a fantasy from their memories to maintain the connection. C-20's mind was so messed up and clouded that Sylvie had to pull a memory from hundreds of years prior from before C-20 joined the TVA when she was just a regular person on Earth who loved margaritas. This shocked Loki as he was told that everyone who worked for the TVA had been created by the Time Keepers, but Sylvie revealed that all of the TVA's employees were variants, just like Loki and Sylvie, something that Loki realized none of them knew.

"The Nexus Event"

"You're not hearing me. I was there. This was real, what I saw. This is a place that I've been. This wasn't the TVA. This was a memory. I lived down there. I went to that bar. I had friends. I had a whole life on the Sacred Timeline."
"Calm down."
"Calm down? I'm a variant. So are you. So is every single person in this place."
"I'm ending this."

Having stealthily exchanged his own TemPad for Ravonna Renslayer's, Mobius opened up Hunter C-20's file which declared her status to be Deceased. Mobius watched a video of C-20's interrogation in the Time Theater where C-20 revealed the memories of her life that had been restored by Sylvie enchanting her and the revelation that she was a variant before Renslayer abruptly ended the interrogation.
