Jack Dolan

Jack Dolan is a police captain in the Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas.

Biography[]

Ghost Rider[]

Jack Dolan was assigned with the strange case of a man found burnt from the inside by a strangely high amount of brimstone in his body. On the crime scene, Dolan was approached by journalist Roxanne Simpson, but he sent her away with a few words.

Following the flaming traces of the Hellcycle, Dolan arrived at Johnny Blaze's house and had him illegally arrested on circumstantial evidence.

Dolan interrogated Johnny and tried to coerce him into confessing to the charge of murdering innocent civilians, but Johnny does not do so, as he knows that he was not culpable. Upon his refusal to accept the allegations laid against him, Dolan had him illegally locked up in a jail cell for the night, with the intent to weaken his will and prompt acceptance of guilt.

When night fell, Johnny unwillingly transformed into Ghost Rider once again; he broke free and left the jail, leaving Dolan with the impossible task of explaining the events to his superiors; as to how the bars of a jail cell were melted from inside.

Later on the case, Dolan met Ghost Rider and believed him to be the responsible on the homicide he's investigating on. After a long chase, Ghost Rider shook the cops off by riding his motorcycle through a river, making it impossible for Dolan and his men to follow him.

Dolan, along with his partner, Edwards went to see Roxanne, believing that she may know where Johnny was; when Edwards asked her if Johnny had tried to contact her in any way, Roxanne stated that she cannot help them.

Dolan threatened Roxanne; stating that should she decline to assist in their pursuit and recapture of Johnny, he would release all evidence he had managed to acquire to the media within in 6 hours and in so doing, ruin Johnny's career.

Unfortunately for Dolan, Roxanne saw through his bluff, as she knew that the evidence that he had amassed was only circumstantial and that he would not be able to conclusively prove that Johnny was involved in the stipulated murder crimes nor of his connection to Ghost Rider and that Dolan's superiors, as well as the general public would question his sanity; were he to make claims of the involvement of a supernatural entity.

Character traits[]

Dolan is a rough and straight individual, he is also an honest yet an angry and obsessive police captain, ready to put everything aside in order to reach his prey; such as morals and honour as proved when trying to coerce Johnny Blaze into confessing to crimes that he believes they have committed.
