Trivia[]
- Lauren Revard is credited as Miss Minutes' on-set reader.
- There is a reference to David Fincher's Se7en in a needle drop when Loki tries to access more materials from the TVA library. The clerk he asks for help from is listening to Orchestral Suite no. 3 in D Major by Johann Sebastian Bach. This is the same music playing when Detective Mills (Brad Pitt) and Detective Somerset (Morgan Freeman) are in the process of researching the killer they're pursuing in Se7en.
- In the cafeteria, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) steals a drink from Casey (Eugene Cordero) to illustrate a point. Casey's drink was a BoKu juice box. BoKu was marketed in the US as 'juice boxes for adults' from 1990 to 2003.
- Roxxcart is a reference to the infamous Roxxon Corporation. Roxxon, a corporate front for Hydra, has appeared in various forms in Agent Carter, Daredevil, Iron Man, and even the Thor prequel One Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer.
- The song "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler plays during the opening fight at the 1985 Renaissance Fair. In the week between the broadcast of the first and second installment of Loki, trailers were released for Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021) and for Square Enix's Guardians of the Galaxy video Game, both of which also featured this song.
- When Loki and B-15 are walking down an aisle in Roxxcart, there is a illuminated circular sign of arm and hammer in the background, a reference to Thor's favorite weapon, Mjolnir.
- At the end of the episode you can see several locations from the past of the MCU on the screen including Vormir, Xandar, and Ego among others.
- The Variant in this episode is based on Lady Loki (a female version of Loki from the Marvel comics), and Sylvie Lushton (a version of the Enchantress who was given magical powers by Loki).
- While it is speculated that Sophia Di Martino's character is "Lady Loki", there are multiple hints throughout the episode that Di Martino's character is not Lady Loki. In most versions of the credits, Di Martino's character is credited as "The Variant" while the Castellana credits refer to Di Martino's character as "Sylvie." Sylvie is the name of the Marvel character, "Enchantress." When Loki calls The Variant "Loki", The Variant states, "Ugh. Don't call me that." Also when The Variant and Loki are fighting, Loki states, "I would never treat me like this." These two lines hint that Di Martino's character is not Lady Loki but rather a different character.
- One of the files that Loki reads at the TVA confirms the destruction of Asgard was a Class Seven Apocalypse and 9,719 Asgardians died when Surtur attacked
- The interior of the TVA, when Loki & Mobius are in the elevator looks to be the interior of the Marriot Marquis in downtown Atlanta, where the episode was filmed. CGI added for the time keepers statues.
- In most versions of this episode, Sophia Di Martino's character is credited as "The Variant." In the Castellana version, she is credited as "Sylvie" who is better known as the Enchantress in the comics.
- GOOF: The first variant that Mobius shows the Minutemen appears as 1247 which has changed to 6792 when it zooms into a close up, both numbers are assigned to the following two variants.
