Some time after his takeover, Loki battled Nick Fury, his resistance forces, and the surviving Avengers aboard a helicarrier. Pinning Fury to the ground with his scepter, Loki admitted that Fury and his forces had fought valiantly before demanding all of his secrets. The Natasha Romanoff from an alternate universe suddenly kicked Loki to the ground, shocking him as he'd heard that his universe's Romanoff was dead. Smugly telling Loki that she'd heard the same thing about him, Romanoff subdued Loki with his own scepter.
