The Meltdown of the Temporal Loom was an event that was caused by the death of He Who Remains unleashing the Sacred Timeline and overloading the Temporal Loom, driving it into a meltdown that ultimately endangered all of reality.

Events

• Following the death of He Who Remains, the Sacred Timeline was unleashed and it began branching uncontrollably. This caused the Temporal Loom to begin overloading, unable to handle all of the new branches.
• Loki began experiencing Time Slipping which he fixed with the help of Mobius and Ouroboros. Before his time slipping was fixed, Loki visited a moment in the future where the TVA was being evacuated as the Temporal Loom reached critical and witnessed Sylvie in the TVA.
• Ouroboros locked down the Temporal Loom in order to buy time to retrofit it to handle all of the new branches with Casey's help but discovered that he needed either a live scan of He Who Remains' Temporal Aura or the help of Miss Minutes to fix it.
• General Dox led a rogue operation to prune the new branches, succeeding in pruning a large number of them. However, the new branches quickly began growing back.
• Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes manipulated a variant of Victor Timely, grooming him to build his own version of the TVA as He Who Remains' backup plan. Recognizing Victor as a variant of He Who Remains, Loki and Mobius took him to help fix the problem while Sylvie sent Renslayer and Miss Minutes to the Citadel at the End of Time.
• Renslayer learned of her history as the commander of He Who Remains' army during the Multiversal War and chose to seize control of the TVA for herself, killing Dox and her forces when they refused to join her and recruiting Brad Wolfe to her cause.
• Renslayer successfully kidnapped Victor and pruned Hunter D-90. However, Ouroboros managed to deactivate Miss Minutes and the dampeners preventing Loki and Sylvie from using their powers. Sylvie enchanted Brad who pruned Renslayer, allowing for Victor's rescue.
• With Victor's help, the Throughput Multiplier was completed to fix the Temporal Loom and the lockdown was lifted. However, Victor was spaghettified by the temporal radiation before he could launch the device.
• The Temporal Loom exploded, resetting everyone back to their lives on their respective branched timelines before the TVA took them, restarting Loki's time slipping and causing reality to start breaking down.
• Loki reunited his friends - now back to their old lives with no memories of the TVA - in an effort to travel back in time to before the explosion, but reality broke down before they could impliment Ouroboros' plan to use their collective temporal aura to find the correct moment in time.
• As reality broke down, Loki finally gained control over his time slipping and used it to travel back in time to before the explosion in an effort to stop the explosion from ever happening.
