Loki[]
Once variants Loki Laufeyson and Sylvie Laufeydottir enchanted the timeless being known as Alioth, they found the Citadel at the End of Time, home to the isolator of the Sacred Timeline, He Who Remains. During a long conversation, He explained how a variant of him in the 31st century discovered the existence of alternate realities stacked on top of each other, during the same time, versions of him from different universes did the same thing as well. The variants eventually made contact, and made peace for a while, until some evil variants decided that worlds needed to be conquered, which in turn caused an all-out Multiversal War. Afterwards, Loki and Sylvie engaged in a heated duel, resulting in Loki being sent into the TVA of the past, and He being killed by Sylvie, which resulted in an infinite number of timelines branching out recreating the Multiverse and inciting another war.
The new timelines cause Loki to experience time slipping and for the Temporal Loom to be overloaded. Ouroboros revealed that the only way to stop the meltdown would be to either prune the new branches, killing countless people, or for him to lock the blast doors while Ouroboros figured out how to retrofit the Loom to handle the extra branches. Using a Temporal Aura Extractor on the Temporal Loom while Loki was pruned, Mobius M. Mobius managed to stop Loki's time slipping. However, Loki briefly slipped into the future and witnessed the TVA being evacuated as the Temporal Loom overloaded and prepared to explode. General Dox and her forces later prune a number of the new timelines before Loki, Sylvie and Mobius manage to stop them. However, the pruned branches quickly started growing back. After the Temporal Loom exploded, all of reality started breaking down, but Loki finally managed to control his time slipping and go back in time to before the explosion in an attempt to stop it. After literally spending centuries trying and learning advanced mechanics, physics and engineering from O.B., Loki succeeded in helping Victor to launch the Throughput Multiplier, but it proved to not be enough as the branches were duplicating and expanding at an infinite rate, something that the Temporal Loom could never handle.
After traveling back in time to before Sylvie killed He Who Remains, Loki learned that the Temporal Loom was a failsafe meant to delete all of the branches except for the Sacred Timeline if it was ever overloaded. The meltdown would destroy the Multiverse and the TVA while leaving the Sacred Timeline intact. He Who Remains had paved the road for Loki to gain his time slipping abilities so that he would see this and travel back in time to stop Sylvie from killing He Who Remains, thus preventing the Sacred Timeline from branching. He Who Remains insisted that otherwise, his variants would restart the Multiversal War and that nothing would survive it, including the Sacred Timeline.
Although Loki considered killing Sylvie and stopping He Who Remains' death, he instead decided to destroy the Temporal Loom himself. Taking all of the dying branches, Loki used his magic to bring them back to life and weaved them together into a Yggdrasil-like tree at the End of Time, taking his place as the God of Stories to maintain and protect the Multiverse. Inspired by Loki, the TVA shifted from protecting only the Sacred Timeline to protecting and nurturing the Multiverse while also hunting for He Who Remains' variants.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage[]
Venom revealed to Eddie Brock that the Symbiotes possessed "80 billion light years of hive knowledge across universes." As Venom prepared to tell Eddie something that it knew from another universe as an example, Venom and Eddie were pulled by Stephen Strange's spell from their universe into a different universe where J. Jonah Jameson discussed on TV the exposure of Peter Parker's identity as Spider-Man to the world.
Spider-Man: No Way Home[]
In order to restore his secret identity after it was exposed by Quentin Beck, Peter Parker asked Doctor Strange to cast a spell to make everyone forget that he was Spider-Man. However, after Peter suddenly changed the spell, it was corrupted. As a result, alternate universe villains Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Lizard, and Electro were pulled into Peter's universe along with two variants of Peter himself. At the suggestion of Aunt May, Peter set out to cure the villains in the hopes of changing their fates when they were returned home, having learned that three of them had died battling their own Spider-Men.
After the three Spider-Men succeeded in curing the villains and changing their fates, Peter-One giving Otto a new inhibitor chip and transforming Connors back into his human form using an antidote for the Lizard Serum that transformed Connors into the Lizard, Peter-Two transforming Flint back into his human form using a Particle Accelerator to reverse the effects of the supercollider that transformed Flint into the Sandman, and Otto draining Max of his electricity powers using an Electricity Siphon for the accident with Bioelectric Eels that transformed Max into Electro, the Green Goblin destroyed the Macchina di Kadavus with a pumpkin bomb, cracking open the multiverse and causing numerous other people to start coming through as Doctor Strange struggled to hold them back. After restoring Norman back to his normal self using an anti-serum created by Peter-Two for the Goblin Formula that transformed Norman into the Green Goblin, Peter suggested that Strange cast a spell to make everyone forget about the existence of Peter Parker, leading Strange to reluctantly cast the spell. This returned the villains and their own Spider-Men home and repaired the multiverse at the cost of everyone forgetting Peter.
During these events, having also been pulled out of their own universe by the spell, Eddie Brock and Venom got intoxicated in a Mexican bar, learning about things such as Tony Stark being Iron Man, the existence of the Hulk, as well as Thanos, the Infinity Stones, and the Decimation. Eddie considered going to New York to find Peter, but was returned to his universe along with Venom, leaving behind a small piece of the symbiote, which began to move on its own.

Deadpool & Wolverine[]
In 2018, Deadpool from Earth-10005 visited Earth-199999 seeking to join the Avengers, but he was rejected by Happy Hogan.
Six years later, Deadpool was taken by the Time Variance Authority and offered a place in the Sacred Timeline by Paradox. However, Paradox revealed that the death of Wolverine, the anchor being of Earth-10005, was causing that universe to die which Paradox wanted to speed up using an unsanctioned Time Ripper device. Unwilling to accept the destruction of his universe, Deadpool stole a TemPad and searched the Multiverse for a variant of Wolverine to become the new anchor being. Deadpool eventually found one, whom Paradox called the Worst Wolverine because of how he'd let down his own universe, but Paradox was uninterested in saving Earth-10005 from destruction. After Deadpool realized that Paradox had gone rogue, Paradox pruned him and Wolverine, sending them both to the Void at the End of Time.
In the Void, Deadpool and Wolverine learned that the TVA had begun pruning variants that wouldn't play nice with the Multiverse, specifically dangerous individuals and people that would fight for their dying timelines. Joining the Others, a resistance against Cassandra Nova, Deadpool and Wolverine were able to convince Cassandra to send them to Earth-10005 to save it from Paradox. However, after learning from Pyro that Paradox had betrayed her deal with the TVA, Cassandra killed Pyro, hijacked the Time Ripper, and attempted to use it to destroy the entire Multiverse until only the Void was left. Deadpool and Wolverine were able to destroy the device, saving the Multiverse and vaporizing Cassandra in the process.
Afterwards, Paradox was arrested for his crimes by Hunter B-15 and the Deadpool Corps were returned to the Void. B-15 revealed that Deadpool and Wolverine's actions had not just saved Earth-10005, but spared it from extinction: Wolverine had become the new anchor being of that universe, causing it to regenerate. Wolverine remained with Deadpool on Earth-10005 and B-15 agreed to see to it that the Others were returned to their own universes.
