New Line Productions, Inc., also known as New Line Cinema, is a film production studio owned by Warner Bros. Discovery that formerly owned the film rights to Blade and Iron Man. New Line purchased the Iron Man rights from 20th Century Studios in 1999 and returned them to Marvel Studios in 2006. The film rights to Blade reverted to Marvel in 2011.
New Line Cinema merged with Warner Bros., which is also owned by Time Warner (now called Warner Bros. Discovery) in 2008 due to the commercial failure of "The Golden Compass" in 2007. In 2011, Warner Bros. started co-distributing every New Line Cinema films.
New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. still owns the three Blade movies.
All live-action films produced by New Line Cinema based on Marvel Comics have been co-produced by Marvel Studios.
