New Line Cinema was the film production and distribution company that formerly owned the film rights to Blade and Iron Man. New Line purchased the Iron Man rights from 20th Century Fox in 1999 and returned them to Marvel Studios in 2006. The film rights to Blade reverted to Marvel in 2011.
New Line Cinema merged with Warner Bros., which is owned by Time Warner, in 2008.
All live-action films produced by New Line Cinema based on Marvel Comics have been co-produced by Marvel Studios.
