Mr. Paradox was a member of the Time Variance Authority who oversaw timelines of the Multiverse. He didn't agree with the new method of letting timelines exist so took it upon himself to destroy timelines with a Time Ripper to end them sooner. On his first attempt he targeted Earth-10005 but was stopped by Deadpool and Wolverine.
