Peter Quill shared the history of his Sacred Timeline counterpart up until T'Challa was abducted in error.

As Ego drained Peter of his Celestial powers to begin his Expansion, Star-Lord T'Challa came to his rescue, grabbing Peter and flying him to safety. This caused the device that Ego was using to overload and explode, destroying his avatar. T'Challa ordered Peter to stay back and leave this fight to the Ravagers, but Peter drew his attention to the Watcher.
After the Watcher returned T'Challa to his own world, Peter and T'Challa stood side-by-side firing blasters as explosions occurred around them.
