"Roosevelt's Secret Station:
Track 61, a secret subterranean extension of New York's "D" Line train under Pershing Square was originally built to transport President Franklin Roosevelt away from the public eye to keep his polio hidden from the American people. Legend has it, FDR's limo would drive off the train car (photographed above) and into a large, private elevator that would take the vehicle straight to the Waldorf-Astoria garage. Another fun fact F: Andy Warhol threw a party here in 1965.

History[]

The Amazing Spider-Man 2[]

While looking for clues about his parents, Peter Parker found a note in his father's briefcase reading "Roosevelt @ 2 pm," but his research only turned up many uses of that name. Later, after finding subway tokens hidden in Richard's calculator and remembering Aunt May talking about his father's habit of riding the D-Train, Peter did a search on the name Roosevelt with a specification of subway stations and the D-Train. This time, Peter's search revealed the existence of the abandoned Roosevelt subway station under Pershing Square.

Peter managed to sneak into the abandoned subway station and, using one of the tokens from Richard's calculator on the turnstile, caused the train to rise up from the tracks with Richard's secret lab. Peter discovered the recorded testimony that Richard had uploaded to the servers just before the plane crash revealing the truth about how Norman Osborn had framed him and that the Genetically Modified Spiders were made using his own DNA, meaning that they would only work for Richard or someone who is from his bloodline.
