Sean Cassidy, also known as Banshee, is a mutant who can generate and manipulate sound waves from his vocal chords. He can also hover or fly at the speed of sound.
Biography[]
X-Men: Proteus[]
Sean grew up with his brother Tom, but the two were rivals. Since both were mutants, they were each immune to each other's powers. Sean eventually grew up and met Moira MacTaggert. He moved to Muir Island where the two researched genetic mutation. While there, he met Moira's former boyfriend Professor Charles Xavier and his X-Men.
X-Men: The Phalanx Covenant[]
He helped the X-Men in assisting Beast, Mister Sinister, and Forge against the Phalanx.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Mutant Physiology: Banshee is a very powerful mutant who possesses the power to generate and manipulate powerful sound waves.
- Soundwave Manipulation: Banshee has superhumanly powerful lungs, throat and vocal cords and can generate and manipulate sound waves through them.
- Sonic Scream: Banshee can produce a sonic scream for various effects, in concert with limited, reflexive psionic powers which directed his sonic vibrations.
- Flight: Banshee, using the sound waves he can emit, can hover or fly at the speed of sound.
- Soundwave Manipulation: Banshee has superhumanly powerful lungs, throat and vocal cords and can generate and manipulate sound waves through them.
