The Sentinel Wars, also known as the War of the Sentinels, was a long conflict between the man made mutant killing robots known as the Sentinels and the X-Men. The war was averted when the X-Men sent Logan, to the past averting the creation of the Sentinels and ending the war before it began.
Pre War Events[]
- Mystique assassinates Bolivar Trask.
- Mystique is soon captured and experimented on before eventually escaping, however, the scientist already have her DNA to make the Sentinels to be able to adapt to mutant powers.
- The Sentinels begin to target humans who are most likely to have mutant children.
- The Free Mutants fight a losing war with Kitty Pryde using her powers to send fellow mutant Bishop back into time to stay ahead of the Sentinels.
Events[]
- The X-Men send Logan back in time to stop Mystique.
- Logan recruits a young Charles Xavier, Hank McCoy and Erik Lehnsherr to help him.
- Erik tries to kill Raven to prevent her from killing Bolivar Trask.
- Erik attacks the White House and attempts to force mutant supremacy by killing president Nixon.
- In the future, the X-Men fight to buy Kitty Pryde and Logan more time, but the Sentinels slowly overwhelm them.
- Raven stops Erik, saving the president in the process.
- Charles talks Raven out of killing Trask; finally averting the future Sentinel War.
Aftermath[]
- A new timeline is formed; due to the X-Men's actions having changed history.
