- Dragon Physiology: As a dragon, Shou-Lao possesses several physical and supernatural attributes including immortality, flight and power bestowal.
- Immortality: Shou-Lao is immortal and has regenerated after multiple deaths earning him the name "The Undying".
- Regenerative Healing: Shou-Lao is capable of regenerating from his wounds, even fatal ones that have led to his death.
- Flight: Shou-Lao has wings that make him capable of flight.
- Power Bestowal: Shou-Lao is able to bestow other individuals with other unique powers. Since 1948, he has granted the protectors of K'un-Lun the power of the Iron Fist.
