I'm just posting to discuss because I believe that his fate would be inconclusive in regards to whether it was fatal or not; although his mechanical "Web-Shooter" device was crushed by Connors, wouldn't he have still retained his ability to crawl wals, enabling him to prevent plummeting to his death? It is also possible that his fate - had Connors not been around to grab his arm - could be a plothole to build suspense, but I am still debating whether we could draw a factual conclusion of what fate his fall would eventuate it.
