History[]
Avengers: Endgame[]
Five years after the Decimation, the Avengers attempted to retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past to reverse the destruction. To do this, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Scott Lang attempted to get the Tesseract and the Chitauri Scepter from Stark Tower in the aftermath of the Battle of New York. Steve succeeded in getting the Scepter while Tony and Scott attempted to retrieve the Tesseract from the lobby where the 2012 Tony and the 2012 Thor argued over possession of it with Alexander Pierce. Tony and Scott nearly succeeded in stealing the Tesseract, but a mishap with the 2012 Hulk resulted in the Tesseract landing at Loki Laufeyson's feet, prompting him to pick it up and use it to escape.
