Uru is a metal ore found exclusively in the Asgardian realm. It has a natural affinity for magic, as it is readily capable of holding enchantments, absorbing magic, and channeling magic. Mjölnir and Stormbreaker are made of Uru.

Properties
Uru metal is only used by Asgardians and possibly other magic level civilizations, Uru is very durable and even more so when enchanted. It has a rock-like appearance and properties of metals. It's luster resembles badly-wrought iron. It is very absorbent of energy, especially magic. It retains enchantments well and is often used in magic. It's ability to redircet and enhance energy, especially magic, is useful and sought after. A sort of symbiotic relationship between the metal and it's wielder may develop, either naturally or enhanced through magic.
Notable Weapons
- Mjölnir: A hammer of unparalleled power, wielded by Thor Odinson and forged in the heart of a dying star. It is known to channel energy such as lightning strikes and magic.
- Stormbreaker: An enchanted axe-hammer also wielded by Thor Odinson. Following the destruction of Mjölnir; Stormbreaker now serves as Thor's primary weapon of choice. It has the same powers as Mjölnir, plus the ability to summon the Bifrost, as well as the fact that it also amplifies the asgardian king's physical attributes. According to Eitri; it is the most powerful weapon in the history of Asgard.
