De Fontaine approached John Walker after he was stripped of the mantle of Captain America following his murder of a member of the Flag Smashers. She expressed sympathy for his situation and told him that the people she worked for may have use for his services.

De Fontaine gave Walker a new suit and dubbed him "U.S. Agent".
Black Widow[]
De Fontaine approached Yelena Belova at Natasha Romanoff's grave and told her that Clint Barton was responsible for Romanoff's death.

Eleanor Bishop was discovered to be the one who hired De Fontaine to make Yelena target Barton.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever[]
De Fontaine initially helped her ex-husband and subordinate, Everett Ross, who was investigating the Talokan/Wakandan skirmish on the Harvard Bridge. After correctly identifying that Ross was helping the Wakandans, she had him arrested for treason.

- In the comics, Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine is an alleged Italian noblewoman who joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and even ascended temporarily to the rank of Deputy Director, becoming Nick Fury's lover. Eventually, she infiltrated HYDRA and assumed the identity of Madame Hydra, though she was actually a Russian triple agent, having worked for Leviathan as a sleeper agent since before being recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D.
