Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch, is a level-4 mutant who possesses energy blasts, realitokinesis, tychokinesis and telekinesis.

Wanda is the daughter of Erik Lehnsherr, the sister of Pietro Maximoff, and a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

Wanda joined the Brotherhood of Mutants, a group of young mutants who were formally led by Magneto, and helped fight the X-Men, Xavier's team. Fellow Brotherhood member Toad fell in love with her, though she found him disgusting. She then left the team to search the world for Magneto, and Quicksilver who was protecting him.

Wanda joined in the battle against Apocalypse and his Horsemen. She was the one who saved her father from the ancient mutant's control.

Powers[]

  • Mutant Physiology: Scarlet Witch is an extremely powerful mutant who possesses energy blasts, realitokinesis, tychokinesis and telekinesis.
    • Energy Blasts: Scarlet Witch can generate, create and project bright blue energy blasts from both of her hands; she can knock out Quicksilver, disrupt Magneto's powers and then trap the X-Copter, shutting it down and pushing it away.
    • Realitokinesis: Scarlet Witch can manipulate reality itself; she was able to caused several street lamps, and two cars on center blocks to actually come to life and attack a group of thugs.
    • Tychokinesis: Scarlet Witch can manipulate probability; she can interfere with other mutants' powers, causing them to go haywire, temporarily remove them, rendering the mutants powerless or cause attacks to rebound back at the attacker. She can manifest "hex bolts" as auras of blue-colored energy, allowing her to trap opponents and disrupt energy fields, as seen when she used her "hex bolts or hex blasts" to knock out her brother, Pietro Maximoff, disrupt Magneto's powers and then trap the X-Copter, shutting it down and pushing it away.
    • Telekinesis: Scarlet Witch can telekinetically move objects or other individuals without physically touching them.
      • Flight: Due to Scarlet Witch's telekinesis; she is able to fly; by levitating her own body.

Weaknesses[]

  • Emotional State: If Scarlet Witch gives completely into her emotions, particularly her rage; then she will temporarily lose control of her powers; as Scarlet Witch could unintentionally hurt or kill someone.
  • Hand Gestures: Scarlet Witch can only activate her powers if she has the use of her hands; such as energy blasts, realitokinesis, tychokinesis, telekinesis, etc.; if her hands are bound; then Scarlet Witch will be unable to activate these said powers.

Former Weaknesses[]

  • Mental Instability: Since childhood; Scarlet Witch was erratic, unstable and paranoid; which is further greatly amplified; after her mutant powers manifested. But this is no longer a weakness; after Scarlet Witch's memories were altered by Mastermind.
