The X-Men were a team of mutants who use their combined powers to protect mutants, humans, the world, as well as to promote equality between mutants and humans.

The Gifted[]
At some point after the July 15th incident, the X-Men had mysteriously disappeared, but before their disappearance, they founded the Mutant Underground and warned John Proudstar, that a war between humans and mutants was coming; they also ask John to lead the Mutant Underground, much to his reluctance.
Overview[]
The X-Men believe that homosapiens (humans) are equal to mutants, they also protect innocent mutants from human oppressors or protecting innocent humans from rogue mutants; despite this, the X-Men do not believe in being outright aggressive, as they prefer to utilizing far more peaceful means to end conflicts.
